What is tekne ekspertiz?
Tekne ekspertiz is a Turkish phrase used for boat inspection or expert assessment. Buyers should still agree a written marine-survey scope, limitations, haul-out and sea-trial requirements, report language and intended reliance.
What details are needed for a survey quote in Turkey?
Provide the vessel particulars, exact marina or shipyard, inspection purpose, preferred date, hull material and access plan. State whether the vessel can be lifted, pressure washed and sea trialled.
Can one surveyor cover Istanbul and the Aegean coast?
Some professionals travel, but the distances are significant. Matching should start with the correct coastal region and then consider vessel specialism, report requirements and availability.
Can I request an English-language report?
Yes. Include English in the request and agree report language, technical terminology, delivery deadline and intended recipient directly with the surveyor.
Does Turkish Lloyd membership or class work replace a buyer’s survey?
No. Classification or statutory work and an independent pre-purchase condition survey serve different purposes. Confirm the required professional and acceptance route for the specific task.
Who appoints the surveyor?
The client appoints and instructs the independent surveyor directly. Turkey Marine Surveyor provides information and introductions but does not carry out the survey.
